Gmail makes it possible for you to retain an address book. Everybody with whom you connect is instantly included to your Connections. Of course, additional information can be joined as well.
But what if you want to shift or duplicate your valuable selection of correspondents — to another Gmail account, for example, or to a pc e-mail program such as Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird or Eudora? Luckily, forwarding contacts from Gmail is just as simple as gathering them.
To transfer your full Gmail address book:
- Select Connections from the remaining Gmail navigation bar.
- Now click on Export at the top (or at underneath or in the contacts' toolbar using Gmail's older version).
- For a highest possible of interface, choose Outlook CSV structure (or Outlook CSV).
- Both Outlook CSV and Google CSV transfer all information. The Gmail structure uses Unicode to retain worldwide figures under all conditions, but some e-mail applications — such as Outlook — do not assistance that. Outlook CSV transforms brands to your standard personality development.
- Click Export or Export Connections.
- Download the "gmail-to-outlook.csv" or "gmail.csv" data file to your Desktop.
